Lower attaining pupils are already catered for in Exploring Science via the Copymaster Files, which include homework, classwork and practical sheets for each topic suitable for use with lower attaining classes. The homework sheets are stand-alone, and can be used without the Pupil's Books.

In addition to the printed materials, we will be providing additional worksheets for lower attaining pupils to be used with the Pupil's Books. The activities provided relate directly to the text in the books, and will allow less able pupils to use the same text book as other pupils in the class.

The worksheets have been provided as pdf files for you to print out and use directly. You will need Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer to access these files. If you haven't already installed this program, it is can be downloaded free from the Adobe website.

The worksheets will also be available in Microsoft Word format, in case you wish to modify them by adding or removing questions, or by changing the font size. Please take note that some of these Word files are very large in size (500 K to 3 MB), so make take some time to dowload.

The worksheets for the revision units (BR, CR, and PR) are slightly different to the worksheets provided for other units:

• there is a ‘fill in the blanks’ type worksheet for every topic, based mainly on the material in the yellow boxes in the Pupil's Book
• sometimes several worksheets have been provided to cover most of the material in the Pupil’s Book
• the titles of the sheets reflect the content (rather than having the same title as the page in the Pupil’s Book)
• the missing words are not given in a word box - this is because the text provided is very similar to the text in the Pupil’s Book.

The completed sheets can be used for revision if pupils cannot take the Pupil’s Book home
